This design is inspired by Katara from Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender. The show is set in a world inhabitated by four nations: The Water Tribe, The Earth Kingdom, The Fire Nation, and The Air Nomads. Each nation has the ability to "bend" or manipulate its own respective element: water, earth, fire, or air.
Katara is Aang's companion (and love interest) and Sokka's sister. She is the last waterbender of the Southern Water Tribe. Her tribe has also been attacked by the Fire Nation, which motivated her to join Aang on his quest to stop the Fire Nation.
